As a Business owner you are probably an expert at what you do. It is essential that you have knowledge of your product or service and that you can draw on that expertise in your everyday duties. However, not many business owners are experts in the market.
There is a huge difference in being able to run your business and being able to track trends and forecasts on where your industry is headed.
Don’t just study your competition. Study the behavior of your consumers. Look deeper than their buying patterns and into the rationale behind their purchases. As you begin to understand your customers better, you can better predict new trends in your industry. This, of course, will give you the edge over your competition.
