Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Marketing... Seriously!

Today I'm unlocking the safe.  I'm going to answer 4 questions that every small business owner wishes they could have answered.  This stuffs so valuable you'll download it twice.

Question #1) Why don't people notice my business?

Answer: If you're doing a lot of marketing, you're probably getting noticed but you're not worth remembering.  People notice things that impress them. To impress you, have to make an impression.  If you want to make an impression, you have to work at it and be willing to stick your neck out and be yourself.  Anyone who is good at anything practices or puts the necessary time into polishing their skills or their image.  Models work out and watch their diet.  Pro athletes stay in top shape and practice for hours on end. If you don't have the time or desire to put in the work, then it's a good idea to hire someone who will.  Like a basketball team owner who can't play worth a lick, but is willing to pay top dollar for a free agent.  You can't be an expert at everything, but you can find people that can make you look like you are.   When you do that, then people can't help but take notice.

Question #2) How can I increase sales without spending any money?

Answer: Time is money.  If you don't have money to spend on marketing your business, then you have to spend time marketing your business.  Spend time creating business for yourself and then substitute money for the time you're spending.  Eventually you'll have enough money to allow you to just run your business.  If you don't spend time or money marketing your business, then you should probably start looking for a job.

Question #3) Where are all the perfect customers?

Answer: In your imagination. In today's business world the consumer calls the shots.  Customer service is the fastest growing segment of the work force and most companies spend more on customer service than on production. So what's my point?  You need to become the perfect solution to your clients.  If you set your self to be able to adapt to your customer's needs then you'll see that you have a lot more customers that are perfect for you. The Impulse Theory doesn't ask who is my perfect customer, but how can I be perfect for my customers.

Question #4) How do I make the most of the small ad budget I have.

Answer:  Use technology to your advantage.  The beauty of having a small company and working with a company like Innovative Impulses is that you can be nimble.  Big company's have the resources to take advantage of all the latest and greatest gizmo's but they have to go through so much red tape that by the time they do, something better has come out.  As a small company you can take advantage of podcasting, vcasting, blogs, mobile marketing, and buzz marketing fairly inexpensively and better yet, you'll be able to track the effectiveness of those efforts quickly.
